We ask that you arrive on time. Although not always possible, it is our aim to treat our patients at the stated appointment time. Should you be unable to attend your treatment session, please phone us as soon as possible to reschedule and to free up your unneeded appointment for someone else. Please allow an extra 10-15 minutes on top of the consultation time for additional treatment modalities such as hot / cold packs.
Initial
Consultations: usually take about 1 hour and include initial assessment and treatment and the development of a home exercise program. (This 1 hour consultation can be broken down into 2 half hour consultations, but treatment may not commence until the second consultation.)
Follow-up Consultations:
usually take about 30 minutes and include reassessment, further treatment and progression of any exercise program.
WorkCover patients must be referred by a medical practitioner and must bring their referral to their first treatment session. All treatments are of 30 minutes duration and we accept Workcover’s payments as the full fee. Please advise our receptionist that you are a Workcover patient when making your first appointment.
Department of Veterans Affairs:
DVA patients must be referred by a general practitioner and bring their DVA card. The Gold Card Holder will sign for treatment each time and we accept the DVA’s payments as the full fee. Please advise our receptionist that you are a Gold Card DVA patient when making your first appointment.
Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plans:
CDM patients must be appropriately referred to us by their General Practitioner. All the necessary paperwork must be brought to their first appointment. Payment is expected at the time of treatment and we charge CDM patients our standard fees for physiotherapy. We process the Medicare rebate on the day of your appointment. There will be a gap between what we charge and the rebate (generally between $25-$50 depending on the treating physiotherapist). Please advise our receptionist that you are a CDM patient when making your first appointment.
